Albert Gonzalez, M.D.

is an ophthalmologist with extensive surgical experience and training. He provides comprehensive eye care for both children and adults and performs a wide variety of surgical procedures with special interest in advanced cataract surgery, corneal surgery, and laser vision correction.

He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina for both undergraduate and medical school, and his residency was completed at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Gonzalez completed a fellowship in cornea/refractive surgery at the University of Missouri. 

He is a member of several professional organizations and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Special interests include laser vision correction (Z-LASIK), advanced cataract surgery with multi-focal implants, and advanced corneal surgery (including DSEK and other corneal transplants).
